The Notes: Notes refer to the evaporation time of an oil. The faster an oil will evaporate the higher the note. There are three types of notes when it comes to Essential Oils, Top, Middle and Base Note. The Base taking the longest to evaporate.
All Middle and Top Note oils should be diluted with a carrier or base oil for use on skin or if they are taken internally. Not all oils should be taken internally. Refer to instructions of use when purchasing oils. All information below generally refers to Aroma Therapy and Topical applications.
Used as a base carrier oil. Used a lot in Sun Tan Oil formulations. It is good for removing toxins and is used as an oil for frying foods in a frying pan.
